The London Business School began its operations in 1964 and began instruction the following year by offering two programs for executive development. Over the next decade, Master of Science programs and the beginning of a doctoral program were some of the major highlights.
By 1983, an MBA program commenced, with all of the current teaching at LBS focused on the awarding of advanced degrees. In recent years, the expansion of the campus has ventured to Dubai, where only executive education classes are offered.
In 2015, LBS made the decision to expand its teaching capabilities by investing $78 million to refurbish Marylebone Town Hall. The school is located in the town itself, near Regent’s Park, with the focus on education resulting in students seeking living arrangements off campus.
The aforementioned MBA program can take anywhere from 15 to 21 months and involves a combination of elective classes and core segments. There’s also an Executive MBA program that takes anywhere from 16 to 20 months to complete. Other master’s programs devoted to finance, analysis of those finances and management are also available.
